Silver anodized aluminium extruded heatsink suitable for surface mount power devices and through hole transistors up to TO 220 size. Can be used as a free standing air cooled heatsink mounted perpendicular to the circuit board. Alternatively, it can be mounted parallel to the board on top of surface mount integrated circuits or transistors. Ideally Heat-Sink should be used with extruded aluminium enclosures such as the AluCase which have slots for circuit board mounting.

Appropriate orientation of the Heat-Sink allows it to slide into these slots.  Application of heatsink compound from a syringe into the roughly circular space between the Heat-Sink and the wall of the enclosure provides a direct path for heat to escape to the outside of the enclosure. The Heat-Sink is 22mm long.
